Caribbean Stud is a game played between the player and dealer with a single standard deck. The objective of online Caribbean Stud is to have a higher-ranking poker hand.
The game begins by the player placing an ante bet. The bet is placed by clicking on the chips of the desired denominations. The chips move to the Ante Circle on the table displayed. The player’s balance gets reduced by this amount. During the course of the game the player could have to place a bet equal in amount to the ante bet. Hence the player should have sufficient balance to do so. Most online Caribbean Stud games will prompt the player if he does not have the balance to cover the second bet.
The player next clicks the “deal” button. Five cards are dealt to the player and one card is dealt to the dealer. Based on his hand and the dealer’s open card the player has to decide whether to continue playing or not. If the player wants to continue then he should click the “call” button. A bet equal to the ante bet is automatically placed and the player’s account is automatically reduced. The dealer is then dealt four more cards; the two hands are compared and the payouts made. If the player thinks that the dealer has a good chance of getting a better hand he should click the “fold” button. He then loses the ante bet and the table is cleared for the next deal in Caribbean stud online.
The rules for comparison of hands in Caribbean Stud online are as follows. If the player “calls” then the dealer must have a king or higher hand to qualify. This means that the dealer must be dealt either a king or an ace or both. If this does not happen then the player is paid even money on the ante bet and his regular bet is returned to him. If the dealer has king or higher then the dealer’s hand is compared with the player’s hand. If the dealer’s hand is better then the player loses both his ante bet and his regular bet. If the player’s hand is better then he gets paid even money on the ante bet and a payout on the regular bet that depends on his hand. If he has a royal flush the payout is 100 to 1; for a straight flush 50 to 1; for four of a kind 20 to 1; for a full house 7 to 1; for a flush 5 to 1; for a straight 4 to 1; for three of a kind 3 to 1; for two pairs 2 to 1 and for one pair or less 1 to 1.
When playing Caribbean Stud online also has a progressive jackpot. In order to be eligible players have to bet an additional $1 by clicking the designated area. The monitor displays the amount of the progressive jackpot. The progressive jackpot pays players drawing a flush or higher even if they have lost the regular game to the dealer.
